Presented for the first time by Chesapeake Regional Healthcare, plans for South Norfolk’s Famous Fourth of July celebration are in full swing.
The deadline has passed for the parade, but please apply anyway. We’ll try to get you squeezed in! It is free to participate in the parade, includes local television coverage and is a great way to promote your group or organization.
Still seeking vendors!
Organizers are still seeking a few vendors. If you are interested in a booth space to sell retail, arts and crafts or just want to share non-political information with the thousands who will visit, please hurry and fill out an application.

Sponsorships are what make this annual family event possible. Chesapeake Regional Healthcare has nabbed the Presenting Sponsor spot, but we still need a handfan sponsor to share the front of our fans, and more local sponsors for the back!
Hand fan sponsorships include a spot on the sponsor sign at the park on event day, and a link on the civic league’s sponsor page for a whole year! Last year we gave away 2,000 hand fans. With your help, this year we can give even more!

Tidewater Drive Band is featured 4th of July musical act
The Tidewater Drive Band will be the featured musical act for the event. They will begin to play after the parade and after the celebration opening ceremony, from about noon to 3 p.m.
Fun activities for everyone
Event activities will include paddleboats, petting zoo, face-painting, games, raffles and storytelling. Some events, such as the paddleboats, may require a small $1 or $2 fee.
Arts and Crafts vendors will be there, as well as retail and food vendors.
