Everyone is invited to attend the February 2019 Membership meeting on Monday, Feb. 11, at the South Norfolk Community Center, 1217 Godwin Ave. at 7 p.m.

In other news, the food trucks events will begin again in April, 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 4-8 p.m. at Elizabeth River Park and volunteers are needed to help. This event is hosted by the South Norfolk Civic League and the City of Chesapeake and will continue through September.

The Oscar Smith Alumni will hold their annual reunion this year on April 13 at the Eagles Club. Tickets are $20 per person.

Fourth of July organizers are beginning to plan the 2019 parade and picnic in the park, and forms and information will be posted when available. In the meantime, people interested in sponsoring, participating and volunteering can get a head start by sending an email to southnorfolkcivicleague@gmail.com.

The SNCL is working to fix all street lights that may need repair or bulb replacement. If you see any lights out, please report them by number if possible (each light has a number) or carefully describe the location if you do not have the pole number.
