Folks in South Norfolk, especially along Chesapeake Avenue, have had enough of speeders, and look longingly toward the large rubber car humps seen in other locations in the City of Chesapeake.

Police officials have expressed doubt over the efficacy of road humps, especially in comparison to their cost, which can reportedly hit $6,000 or more each.

For now, the issue is a little more than a whisper in the road hump groundswell. Stay tuned.
